The bomber blew himself up inside a funeral tent in the village of Abu Munasir.
The service was being attended by Sunni Muslim tribesmen who have formed US-backed militias to fight against al-Qaida in Iraq.
Al-Qa'ida has repeatedly attacked tribesmen involved in these so-called "awakening" militias.
