Former Archbishop appeals for release of hostages in Iraq
Saturday, May 17, 2008
A former Archbishop of Canterbury has made a direct appeal for the release of five British hostages in Iraq.
Lord Carey has released a video in which he calls the captors "honourable men" and "men of faith".
The group was seized in Baghdad a year ago.
The plea goes against guidance from the Foreign Office, which has tried to maintain a news blackout.
