Conjoined twins to be separated in Saudi Arabia
Saturday, 25 October 2008
A medical team in Saudi Arabia is preparing to separate conjoined Iraqi twins.
Eyad and Ziyad are joined at the abdomen and chest - they also share a liver and parts of the bowels.
The two boys arrived in Riyadh seven months ago on board an evacuation plane ordered by King Abdullah.
The operation is expected to last for sixteen hours.
