Former Israeli PM faces corruption charges

Israeli legal authorities have indicted former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on corruption charges.
Mr. Olmert is accused of illegally accepting funds from an American businessmen when he was Mayor of Jerusalem and later a Cabinet minister
He admits taking the money but insists they were political donations and denies any wrongdoing
He faces charges including fraud and breach of trust.
The charges surfaced when Olmert was still prime minister, eventually forcing him to step aside.
Mr. Olmert was replaced as prime minister in March by Benjamin Netanyahu.
It is the first time in Israeli history that a former prime minister is to face criminal charges.
