Two more former Iraqi officials to be hanged tomorrow

Iraqi officials are making preparations to hang another two members of Saddam Hussein's former regime.

Sources say former intelligence chief Barzen Ibrahim and former chief justice Awad Hamed al-Bandar will be hanged tomorrow.

Their pair were both convicted and sentenced to death along with Saddam in connection with the massacre of almost 150 Shi'ites in the town of Dujail in 1982.

News of the imminent hangings come as the US military denies any involvement in Saddam's execution on Saturday.

The hanging has been widely criticised following the leaking of footage showing the former Iraqi President being taunted by Shi'ite onlookers just moments before his death.
