Clinton insists she 'misspoke' on Bosnia landing
Wednesday, 26 March 2008
Hillary Clinton has insisted that she simply "misspoke" when she claimed she landed in Bosnia under sniper fire 12 years ago.
Video footage of the landing has clearly showed that the Democratic presidential candidate landed in perfect safety and even had time to calmly greet a young girl on the tarmac with her daughter Chelsea at her side.
Critics have accused the former first lady of lying in order to overstate her foreign policy experience.
However, Mrs Clinton says she simply made a mistake due to sleep deprivation, which "proves I'm human".
