Obama picks up more support in battle with Clinton
Thursday, May 08, 2008
Barack Obama has picked up support from four more super-delegates in his race to secure the Democratic nomination for this year's US presidential election.
His rival, Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, has added two super-delegates to her tally, leaving her further behind in the long-running battle.
The nomination process is set to be decided by the super-delegates, elected officials and party insiders who can vote as they like at the selection convention in August.
Obama has the lead over Clinton in the number of delegates apportioned during state primaries, but he has failed to deliver the knockout blow that would end her campaign.
