McCain advert mocks Obama as the Chosen One

Saturday, 2 August 2008

US presidential hopeful John McCain has unveiled a new campaign advert accusing his rival, Barack Obama, of having a Messiah complex.

The parody mockingly compares Obama to Jesus and Moses, opening with the lines "It shall be known that in 2008 the world will be blessed. They will call him The One."

"He can do no wrong," the narrator continues. "Can you see the light?"

The ad features quotes from Obama engaging in lofty rhetoric, including comments like: "I have become a symbol of America returning to our best traditions."

McCain has previously broadcast an ad comparing Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton and mocking his international celebrity status.

What's the point of making a comment. Obama is going to win this election, even though he does not talk about the real issues, nor promis any thing tangitable for the people of this country. not one canidate has talked about real issues in this country for decades. I don't believe the President of the U.S.A. has had the full leadership of this country for many decades either. I would like to vote for and independent that would at least give us hope that he would be working for the American people not foreiners or forein countries. The mass media does not even bring up the name of an independent. Thus Obama has been elected by the mass media, or John Macain, but not likely. I am shocked by how gullible the american people are. they believe everything the media tells them; most of them anyway. The rest of us know we are lied to but dont believe we can do any thing about it. If anyone knows what to do besides talk. Please get it started America needs leadership. onstruction workers.

I hope and pray more Europeans come out more to endorse Obama in large masse on TV. This is good reason enough for me to vote for McCain. Any US politician is a friend of Europe must be bad for America.

The attacks are outrageous...its seems as though McCain took the wrong lessons from his failed 2000 race with George W. Bush

Although this is a quite funny ad, a better approach is to point out that Obama's campaign employs propaganda techniques which i havent seen used since the Cold War.

American voters are not that ignorant to be fooled by a great speaker that reads off scripted lines. You can contest this all you want, but Obama refusing to debate McCain besides the mandated 3 appearances, has his campaign bracing for the worst.

I'm sure his campaign will conjure up some press before and after each debate to limit its exposure to the public.

I kind of hope that Obama does get elected. The American people are smoking something and I guess it will take a few years of Obama to wake them up to the reality that there are no easy answers. Rhetoric is rhetoric; Europe only likes us when they need us; We do need more of our own oil sources; Energy production from non-fossil fuels is a long hard road;Iran really is dangerous, as well as the Muslim fundamentalist movement.

Above all, the liberal "it's not your fault" attitude helps to keep people poor and stupid, something that favors the Democratic party.

The Republicans don't have all the answers, but America is in for a long hard road unless we embrace the work ethic of our forefathers, i.e. the immigrants. Blacks and Hispanics as well as other minorities now have the opportunities they always deserved, so take advantage of them regardless of who is in the White House.

McCain and the Media are the only ones who think Obama has a Messiah complex. I laugh at the fact that McCain is so childish that he attacks Obama for being well-liked. Sorry McCain this isn't the play ground.
More McCain lies and childish attacks. We've seen where those politics of the past get us.

If you want to TALK about "optimism" and "hope with a real opportunity to change," talk away and vote for your man.

But if you actually want to do the hard work of achieving it then please sign up at campaignforliberty.com and then get your family and friends to as well. Learn about your local and state candidates that take their oath to the Constitution seriously and won't sell you out. To think that our country will "change" because of electing one person then you have been grossly mislead as to what it means to live in this once great country.

Let's get to the real issues and not focus on the symptoms of them (national health care, lower gas prices, $50 billion emergency stimulus,' etc. Yikes!)

Please stop voting for the ones who vote unconstitutionally.

Whilst the world knows of the torture sufferred by John Mccain in Vietnam this cannot be used as the apparent main justification to appoint him President of the United States of America. It was 40 years ago. He demonstrated bravery, strength and courage but the world is a different place today.
Barack Obama is full of optimism and hope with a real opportunity to change things for the better for everyone.. There are many challenges ahead . The Republicans criticise him but he has been embraced by the world, and despite being young he has showed maturity beyond his years from both a global and economic perspective, and let us not forget that the current President, Mr George Bush, 8 years ago was equally inexperienced and unknown and on appointment did not know where Iraq was.

At this point on the campaign process, what candidates should focus their attentions to should be issues rather than persons. they should talk more about what they have in stock for the voters rather than creating unnecessary caricature.

As a matter of fact i do think he has a 'Mission' and he can 'Save' us' from hate and cynicsm. He is willing and able of carrying on the flame of peace and justice which has been passed onto him by the greatest people in history. His words are inspired and truely inspiring not only to a 'United' America but to all of us around the world who are listening and praying for him. I believe in him and in what he is caple of achieving. Keep mocking cynicists, in time the facts will make the joke a silly one.
