OJ Simpson arrested over alleged armed robbery

Former American football star OJ Simpson is being held by the US police following an alleged armed robbery in Las Vegas last week.
The 60-year-old was arrested at a casino-hotel in the city yesterday following the alleged theft on Thursday night.
Two sports memorabilia dealers claim Simpson and five other men entered their hotel room armed with several guns and stole several mementos.
Simpson claims he was just retrieving items that belonged to him and which had been taken from him years earlier by a former sports agent.
He also says there were no guns involved.
However, he could be facing up to 30 years in prison after police decided to charge him with robbery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit burglary and burglary with a firearm.
