Tuesday, 2 June 2009
The Brazilian Air Force is believed to have found debris in the Atlantic Ocean as part of the ongoing search for the Air France plane that disappeared yesterday morning.
The debris, which includes plane seats, has reportedly been discovered around 400 miles north-east of Brazil.
Ships are now being sent to the area to recover the items and examine if they are part of the missing jet.
The Air France flight disappeared from radar screens while travelling from Rio de Janeiro to Paris with 228 people on board.
