140 jobs are to go in at a games manufacturing company in the south east, it emerged this afternoon.
Hasbro Ireland, which makes games, Playdoh products and puzzles, confirmed that the company was seeking 140 redundancies at its Waterford plant.
It's part of a proposed restructuring programme involving the redundancies and work practice changes.
In a statement, the company said the changes were necessary for the plant's survival due to increasing competition from lower cost overseas locations including China.
