BA profits down €100m after British airport terror alert

Profits at British Airways have fallen by more than twice the expected rate following last summer's airport terror alert.

The company was expected to lose around €40m following the foiling of an alleged plot to bomb transatlantic airlines en route from Britain to the US.

However, the actual losses reported today amount to €100m.
