Google to create 500 new jobs at European HQ in Dublin

The Internet giant has announced plans to create 500 new jobs at its offices in Dublin over the next two years.

The high-skill positions will be created at the American firm's European headquarters in the city, which provides multi-lingual support services to Google customers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Eight hundred workers are already employed at the facility.

Enterprise Minister Michael Martin says the new jobs announcement is a major vote of confidence in Ireland's economy and workforce and confirms the country's attractiveness to foreign investment.
