High Court bid to bar Baileys as directors adjourned

The High Court has adjourned until December the bid by the Director of Corporate Enforcement to prevent the Bailey brothers from acting as company directors.

Earlier this year Michael and Thomas Bailey who are directors of Bovale Developments Ltd made a 22 million euro tax settlement with the Revenue Commissioners, the largest in the State's history.

The multimillionaires became the focus of the Revenue after Bovale Developments was investigated by the Flood tribunal.

The Director of Corporate Enforcement Paul Appleby is seeking to have them both brothers disqualified from acting as directors of any company.

Lawyers for the two brothers today sought more time to respond and Ms Justice Finlay Geoghegan adjourned the case until December the 4th
