Busted to reform with edgier sound?

Matt Willis wants Busted to return, according to reports

Busted may be on the verge of becoming a mended boy band.

Matt Willis is trying to persuade fellow What I Go To School For rockers Charlie Simpson and James Bourne to reform.

The Sun says that Matt tried to reform the band in 2006, but Charlie wanted to focus on his metal band Fightstar, and is reportedly still unsure about the reunion, but James is keen.

A source added: "They are grown men now and have lost that cheesy element. Matt has been jamming a lot recently and plans to come back with a rockier, edgier sound."

Year 3000 singers Busted sold more than three million albums worldwide from 2001 to 2005, but had their pop/rock boyband crown stolen when McFly began their assault on the charts in 2004.
