Cheryl Cole has said she would love to be a judge on the US version of X Factor - but is worried she may not win over US viewers.
The Fight For This Love singer, who judges the UK version of the show, said she would be an unknown to American audiences and they may struggle to understand her Geordie accent.
She told Fearne Cotton on her Radio 1 show: "I love the thought of it and I would absolutely love to do it. The talent out there is phenomenal so I would get an absolute buzz out of doing it - but whether or not they would buzz off me is a different thing."
Cheryl, who recently split from football star husband Ashley, said she had not been asked directly to consider the US equivalent of the programme which Simon Cowell is preparing.
"It's kind of really scary, you know? Why would they give a beep what I thought? I think I always feel like that. They don't know me out there and I've got this weird accent and they'd be a bit like, 'what?'".
The star admitted she was feeling a little "worse for wear" as she appeared on Fearne's show to sing live after going on a bender with her erstwhile Girls Aloud bandmates.
"It felt like a really good idea to have a drink with a couple of the girls last night so I'm actually feeling a little worse for wear."
The star, who pulled out of a number of performances earlier this month because of a chest infection, added: "No bronchitis but maybe I shouldn't have drunk so much last night."
