Duncan James has announced he's leaving the musical Legally Blonde.
The ex-Blue singer has been starring alongside Sheridan Smith in the West End stage version of the Reese Witherspoon film.
But Duncan, who wants to see more of his daughter, said: "I've been asked to extend until October but I declined it because I want to do other things, it takes up so much time."
The singer, who hosts forthcoming quiz show Scream If You Know The Answer, will complete his six-month run in June.
He said: "You do eight shows a week and you have no time for anything. My day off is Tuesday and my daughter's at school on Tuesdays so it's quite hard to see my girl and have a normal life. I want some life back after June."
He added that he didn't expect the show to take off in the way that it had.
"We didn't know the level of success Legally Blonde was going to have. We knew that it was a good show but the irony is, it didn't work that well in Broadway because it's a very American show. It's taking the mickey out of American culture and Americans don't really get it ... we see the irony so it works for an English audience," he said.
