Honeysuckle shy about naked scene

A drop of booze helped Honeysuckle Weeks through the naked scenes

Honeysuckle Weeks has admitted baring all on screen was mortifying - but said a drop of booze gave her Dutch courage.

The Welsh actress, who shot to fame playing prim and proper Samantha Stewart in the TV series Foyle's War, disrobes in The Wicker Man follow-up The Wicker Tree.

"Stripping off was embarrassing, but I had to have a wee dram of Scotch whisky, which made me feel slightly ill - the crew was very sensitive, but I felt like a prize hippo," she told The Daily Telegraph.

It looks like the film will be quite racy.

Honeysuckle added: "I get to ride on stallions and I don't mean horses."

The Wicker Tree, directed by The Wicker Man's Robin Hardy, is expected to be released in September.
