Michael Jackson has made an underwhelming comeback to the public arena at the World Music Awards in London.
The 48-year-old was performing in public for the first time since he was acquitted of child molestation charges in the United States.
However, he only managed to sing the chorus line of his charity single We Are the World before the sound cut out as he struggled for the high notes.
Jackson had earlier received the Diamond Award honouring artists who sell more than 100 million records.
