Coronation Street star Kym Marsh said she has postponed plans to wed Jamie Lomas due to work commitments.
The former Hear'Say singer had planned to tie the knot in December, but this would have coincided with preparations for Corrie's 50th birthday celebrations.
Kym told OK! magazine: "The wedding was going to taking place during the same week as Coronation Street's 50th birthday celebrations, which would have meant I'd have been very busy."
She added: "I didn't want to be distracted from either the preparations for our big day or from work related to Corrie's 50th."
Jamie also has a busy time as the New Year approaches.
Kym said: "Jamie has got the chance to fly out to LA in January for pilot season, where TV execs are trying out new shows.
"It's a great opportunity for him but it would have meant that if we did get married in December, we wouldn't have a chance for a honeymoon."
Kym said the couple would decide on a wedding date when Jamie returned from the US.
She added: "All we know is we're very much in love and are looking forward to the day when we finally do get married."
