Ben Miller has revealed he may miss appearing in Johnny English 2 as Armstrong And Miller are on tour at the same time as the movie is shooting.

The comedian and actor played sidekick Bough in the 2003 spy spoof starring Rowan Atkinson, and admits he would love to star in the sequel, but is not sure he'll be able to.

Ben revealed: "Johnny English 2 - it's going to happen I think... I don't know yet whether I'm going to be in it."

He went on: "The character that I play, Bough, was very much all through in the other film, I don't think he is in this one. But whether he's in it a little bit or not at all I don't know yet.

"We're still waiting to find out - they're still writing another version of the script now.

"And I think they'll probably start shooting in September so at the moment I don't know whether I'll be able to be in it or not because we're on tour in September so it depends."

But Ben, who just premiered his directorial debut Huge at the Edinburgh Film Festival, hopes he can be in the film.

He said: "Hopefully these things usually work out, I'd so love to be in it, I so loved the other one. It's one of my absolute favourite things I've ever done. I'm the biggest ever fan of Rowan Atkinson I think he's just incredible, absolutely incredible, and it was so much fun doing the first one.

"It would be great to at least be a part of this one."
