No Chris Barrie for Tomb Raider 3?
Chris Barrie does not believe he will be asked to appear in the third Tomb Raider movie.
The Red Dwarf star played Lara Croft's butler Hillary in the first two movies in 2001 and 2003, and now Warner Bros has announced a third film, possibly an origins story which may not star Angelina Jolie as Croft.
Barrie said: "I would be very interested in reprising the role for it, but I don't think I will be asked as it's a new franchise - I'm not sure who's doing it and who the film company and everything is, but I don't think it's going to be with the old gang."
He added: "But that was great fun, a couple of films, and I was a relatively small cog in the big machine, but it was great experience."
Barrie doesn't have high hopes for the long rumoured Red Dwarf movie either.
He revealed: "Well, do you know, since we did the Easter special, I have put the feature film idea on my mental shelf, because that to me was kind of the... obviously it wasn't the original plan, but it in many ways stood in for the feature film in that it was the next piece of new product that we did away from the eighth series."
He went on: "It would be great to do a feature film, but I'm not sure that is the priority right at the moment."
