14-man Dubs see off Carlow in O'Byrne Cup semi replay

Fourteen-man Dublin made it look easy against Carlow in their O'Byrne Cup semi-final replay at Dr Cullen Park.

The defending champions will play Longford in the final after their 1-15 to 1-07 victory in Carlow this afternoon.

Denis Bastick got sent off with a straight red card but in the second half but the Dubs replied with five unanswered points and wing Back Philip McMahon's late goal sealed the win.

John O'Brien kicked seven points of an eight-point tally in the first period.

Centre-back John Murphy was the pick of the Carlow team and scored their goal.
