Roscommon snatch victory in minor football replay

Roscommon have produced a shock by denying Kerry the All Ireland double as they came back from a halftime deficit to win 1-10 to 1-09 in the minor football final replay in Ennis.

The win means Roscommon are the minor champions for the first time since 1951.

At half time it was Kerry who led with 5 points to Roscommon's 4.

But a great second half comeback from Roscommon, including a goal in the first three minutes after the interval by corner foward David O'Gara, ensured the victory.

The sides were level coming into the final ten minutes

However four unanswered points from midfielder Donal Shine saw Roscommon surge ahead to seal the game.
