Hardy Eustace wins Coral Ascot Hurdle

Hardy Eustace has claimed the main race of the day at Ascot.

The Cheltenham hero has scored in the Coral Ascot Hurdle.

Beef Or Salmon was also in action at Kaydock but came in a distant second behind the impressive Kauto Star in the Betfair Hurdle.

Meanwhile, TheRealBandit has been put down after fracturing his pelvis at David Pipe's yard.

The nine-year-old won nine of his 26 starts when trained by Pipe's father Martin, enjoying a career highlight last season when winning the Rowland Meyrick Chase at Wetherby.
