Hamilton triumphs at Australian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton won the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne and then warned his

Formula One rivals that the new-look McLaren car is a force to be reckoned

with.

Hamilton led the drivers championship for much of his rookie season but

narrowly failed to take the title, with Kimi Raikkonen edging him out in the

last race.

``I got away to a great start but had a bit of wheel spin so it was close going

into the first corner,'' said Hamilton, who beat Nick Heidfeld's BMW Sauber and

Nico Rosberg's Williams to take maximum points.

The second race of the season is in Malaysia next week and Hamilton is already

looking forward to returning to the track
