Hamilton wins Hungarian Grand Prix

Published 05/08/2007 | 15:54

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton has won the Hungarian Grand Prix after a weekend of controversy surrounding his team.

The rookie finished ahead of Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen and Sauber's Nick Heidfeld.

His McLaren team mate Fernando Alonso, who was demoted five places on the grid, ended the race fourth.

Alonso was forced to start from sixth after being accused by stewards of illegally impeding Hamilton in yesterday's qualifying session.

Hamilton now has a seven point lead in the drivers' championship and said that he's delighted with his victory after a controversial few days.
