No play on Wimbledon Rest Day

Amelie Mauresmo is safely through to the last sixteen at Wimbledon.

The defending champion completed a straight sets victory over Italy's Mara Santangelo.

There was also enough time for Maria Sharapova to win her match with Ai Sugiyama in straight sets.

Rain meant less than an hour's play was possible on the show courts at SW19 yesterday but organisers have decided against play on the middle Sunday Rest Day..

Instead there will be an early start at Wimbledon tomorrow with play on all courts to begin at 11am.
