Irish national road race champion David O'Loughlin has finished third in the final stage of cycling's Tour of Ireland.
He was part a three-man breakaway that led for most of the 144 kilometres from Athlone to Dublin, but Italian Marco Marcato took the spoils, with Belgian rider Stijn Vandenbergh taking overall victory.
