New Lansdowne Road to be called the Aviva Stadium

The new Lansdowne Road Stadium is to be known as Aviva Stadium

Hibernian Aviva has secured the naming rights for the new showpiece stadium in a deal that could be worth almost €50m over ten years.

Meanwhile the first game at the new venue will be a rugby match in August 2010 - there is no word yet on who'll be playing in the fixture.

The 2011 UEFA cup final is already scheduled for the stadium and the IRFU is also to bid for the 2011 Heineken Cup Final.
