Arsenal ready to take on Chelsea

Arsenal will make the trip later to face London rivals Chelsea.

The Blues' last Premiership defeat at Stamford Bridge - by the Gunners - was

almost three years ago.

The visitors will be lacking experience at the back, with Kolo Toure suspended

and ex-Blues defender William Gallas injured.

Gunners boss Arsene Wegner said even though his team will miss the experience of Toure and Galls, he is "fully confident" the younger players will rise to the challenge.

Former Arsenal player Ashley Cole will be under police guard before the mathch.

The defender's facing a hostile reception from Gunners fans after his summer

move to Chelsea.

With Manchester United building a big lead at the top of the Premiership, both

sides will be desperate for all three points.

Defeat for Arsenal would all but extinguish their title hopes, while Chelsea

can ill afford a slip-up.
