Beckham struggling with knee problem

Published 16/11/2006 | 16:06

David Beckham continued to train away from the Real Madrid squad today as he battles to overcome a knee injury.

The midfielder has only been able to train in the gym this week because of inflammation in his left knee, and it remains to be seen if he will be fit enough to take part in Saturday's Primera Liga encounter against Racing Santander.

Definitely out of that match is Brazilian striker Ronaldo, who is still a few weeks away from returning from the knee injury he picked up in the Copa del Rey second leg against Ecija.
