Chelsea see off Fulham in New Years Day fixture

There was disappointment for Roy Hodgeson on his first day in charge of Fulham in the lunchtime game.

In spite of taking an early lead, the side went down 2-1 to London rivals Chelsea at Craven Cottage.

Second half goals from Salomon Kalou, and Michael Ballack with a penalty sealed all three points for Chelsea.
