Cork City are through to the second round of the Intertoto Cup, despite losing last night.

The Leesiders lost 1-0 on the night to Icelanders Valur, but still won 2-1 on aggregate.

They next face Hammerby of Sweden in next week's second round.

Meanwhile, late goals from Fahrudin Kuduzovic and Raffaele Cretaro helped Sligo Rovers to a dramatic 2-1 Eircom Premier League win over Longford Town.

In the First Division, the top two both scored 3-0 victories - Dundalk at Wexford Youths, and Cobh at home to Monaghan United, while Kildare County and Kilkenny City drew 3-3.
