Everton dumped out of FA Cup by Oldham Athletic

The biggest shock of the FA Cup third round saw Premier League side Everton dumped out by Oldham Athletic.

A long distance strike from Gary McDonald earned the League One outfit a 1-0 win at Goodison Park.

Birmingham were another top-flight club to go out to League One opposition, losing 2-1 at Huddersfield.

Non-league Havant and Waterlooville are in the draw for the next round after holding Swansea 1-1.

Blackburn and Bolton were two more Premier League sides to suffer Cup exits - both losing to Championship opponents.

Rovers went down 4-1 at home to Coventry, while Wanderers were beaten 1-0 by visitors Sheffield United.

And the FA Cup fairytale is over for non-league Chasetown.

Despite taking an early lead, the part-timers were beaten 3-1 at home to Cardiff.

Mick McCarthy's Wolverhampton Wanderers avoided an upset against Conference outfit Cambridge

United.

They came back from a goal down to win 2-1.
