McCarthy penalties sink Bolton

Benni McCarthy's two penalties earned three Barclays Premiership points

for Blackburn at the Reebok Stadium - but only after a late disallowed goal

broke Bolton hearts.

Spot-kicks in the 57th and 67th minutes appeared to put the visitors home and

dry after an instantly forgettable first half in difficult conditions.

But Nicolas Anelka reduced the deficit in the 88th minute before Abdoulaye

Faye appeared to loop home a header deep into injury-time - only for a linesman

to judge him marginally offside.
