McShane in Ireland squad for upcoming Euro 2008 ties

Published 25/09/2006

Under-21 international Paul McShane has been drafted into Ireland's senior squad for their upcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers against Cyrpus and the Czech Republic.

Elsewhere, Damien Duff is included in the 25-man squad despite missing Newcastle's game yesterday with a muscle injury that could keep him out of action for three weeks.

Andy Reid is also back after being dropped for the recent Germany game, while Sean St Ledger has retained his place in the panel.

Paddy Kenny, Wayne Henderson and Nicky Colgan are the three goalkeepers in the absence of the injured Shay Given.
