Souness hints at interest in Ireland manager job

Graeme Souness has thrown his hat into the ring for the vacant Republic of Ireland manager's job.

Writing in his regular Sunday newspaper column, the former Premier League manager says qualification for World Cup 2010 will be tough but Ireland have the players to do it.

Souness added "As a former Rangers manager I would be a bit concerned at how some people might perceive me in Ireland."
