Cork strike late to snatch win

Three late points gave Cork a 3-13 to 3-12 win over Monaghan in an NFL thriller.

Paudie Kissane, Paul Kerrigan and John Hayes all steered over points in the closing stages.

Kerrigan had already hit two goals, with Pat Kelly also finding the net to give the Rebels a 3-4 to 1-6 half-time lead, with Paul Finlay scoring Monaghan's goal.

Tommy Freeman and Darren Hughes added further Farney goals in the second half, but it was Cork who dug deep in the closing stages.
