Monaghan cruise past 14-man Armagh

Monaghan scored a 1-19 to 0-9 win over Armagh to book their place in the Ulster SFC semi-final at Casement Park.

Tommy Freeman grabbed a 13th minute goal, helping his side to a 1-7 to 0-6 interval lead, with Armagh down to 14 men following the straight red card dismissal of Brian Mallon in the 35th minute.

The Farney men dominated the second half, with Paul Finlay, Freeman and Dick Clerkin scoring at will. Freeman finished with 1-4, while Finlay scored seven points.
