Stunning Louth upset Kildare

Louth produced an inspired peformance to score a shock 1-22 to 1-16 Leinster SFC quarter-final win over Kildare at Pairc Tailteann.

Louth had gone four points clear through Brian White (2) and JP Rooney (2) when Padraig O'Neill grabbed a 13th minute Kildare goal.

The Wee County led by 0-14 to 1-6 at half-time, and stretched the advantage with a Ray Finnegan goal four minutes into the second half.

A string of John Doyle points brought Kildare back to within two points, but the Wee county powered home with scores from Andy McDonnell, White, Colm Judge and Lennon.
