17-year-old boy handed life sentence for murder of Rebecca Kinsella

A 17-year-old has been jailed for life for the murder of 19-year-old Rebecca Kinsella in her Co. Kildare home last year.

The boy, who can't be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty yesterday to the murder of Ms Kinsella at her home at Grattan Court in Celbridge on 24th January 2006.

Mr Justice Paul Carney today imposed the mandatory life sentence on the boy, and back-dated it to 26th January 2006.
