Published 08/06/2008

An estimated 300 bikers will don their safety helmets today for the Charity Motorcycle Fun Run in aid of the Irish Kidney Association.

It's hoped that the event will raise over €6,000 for the organisation.

The 120 mile route is due to begin at the Esso station at Borris-in-Ossory in Co. Laois at 11 o'clock this morning.

It will pass through Offaly, Tipperary and Kilkenny and will finish up at The Highway Inn in Laois.
