Astronomers discover massive hole in universe

Published 26/08/2007

The hole contains no stars, dust or gas, and is also missing the mysterious invisible material known as 'dark matter'.

It dwarfs other gaps, or voids, in the cosmos uncovered by scientists studying the universe at large scales.
