Body of a man found in Lough Erne

Published 05/08/2007

The body of a man has been pulled from Lough Erne in Co Fermanagh.

The discovery was made near Enniskillen during a search operation involving police and coastguard on both sides of the border.

He was one of two men who fell into the water from a small fishing boat.

The pair were last seen near Devenish Island on lower Lough Erne at midday yesterday.

The search began when the coastguard were alerted that a boat, which has since been recovered, had capsized.

Neither man was wearing a life-jacket.
