Boy recovering in hospital after dog attack

A young boy is recovering in hospital after he was attacked by two dogs in Co Offaly last night.

It's understood the Rottweilers escaped just after 9pm yesterday in the Sycamore estate in Edenderry.

The 7-year-old was bitten in the leg and arm, and was rushed to the Midlands Regional Hospital, where he is now in a stable condition.

Garda are investigating the incident, and the dogs have been taken into care.
