Brazilian man stabbed to death in Charleville, Co Cork

A 47-year-old Brazilian man has died after being stabbed in the neck in Charleville, Co Cork, last night.

The stabbing happened at an apartment on Main Street at around 10pm.

The dead man had been living in the area for seven years.

His wife was also living with him, but was not in the apartment at the time of last nights' killing.

Gardai say nobody has been arrested in connection with the stabbing, but four men are helping them with their inquiries.

A knife is believed to have been recovered at the scene, which has been sealed off for technical examination.

A post mortem will also be carried out later today.
