Fine Gael has claimed that the Green Party is unable to convince Fianna Fáil to implement changes to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.
Environment Minister John Gormley confirmed today that the Government's targets are 12% off target.
Ireland is supposed to emit only 13% above 1990 levels, but this currently stands at 25%.
Fine Gael TD Phil Hogan says this figure is expected to increase further.
