The Northern Secretary, Peter Hain says Unionists have no excuse now not to join a power-sharing Government with Republicans following Sinn Fein's decision to back the PSNI.
Speaking ahead of his meeting with the Taoiseach in Cardiff this afternoon, Mr Hain said Ian Paisley's DUP colleagues are under no illusions about the March 26 deadline for restoring devolution at Stormont.
But, he warned that next month's Assembly elections will be called off if 'any of the off-stage noises' become a wider reality.
