OECD to review Irish public service

The OECD is to undertake a major review of Ireland's public service.

The government has asked the group to carry out the research, which will be the first of its kind.

The review will cover the whole of the public service, and will focus on the connections between the different sectors, and how government plans are translated into reality.

The service here will be benchmarked against the service in other countries.
